Privacy policy and cookies

Last updated: 7 October 2026. This policy explains what happens to information when you use lasstegnas.com (“the site”, “we”).

1. Who is responsible

The site is run by Antonina Wojciechowska, owner of the lasstegnas.com domain, who is the data controller for the processing described here. Contact: contact@lasstegnas.com.

2. What the tools do with your input

The tools run in your browser. Letters, text, numbers, dates, colours, JSON and images you enter are processed on your device and are not sent to us. The word unscrambler downloads word-list files from this site; the request does not contain your letters.

Exception – “What is my IP?”: this page sends a request from your browser to the public ipify service (api.ipify.org and api64.ipify.org), which returns your public IP address. Lasstegnas does not receive or store the result. ipify’s own terms apply to that request.

3. Data stored in your browser

Some preferences are stored in your browser’s local storage and never leave your device: your light/dark theme choice (ls-theme), the time zones you add to the converter (ls-tz-targets) and, only if you tick the option, your word-counter draft (ls-wordcounter-draft). You can remove them by clearing site data in your browser. These are strictly necessary for features you request and are not used for tracking.

4. Server logs

Like any website, the hosting provider and content delivery network (for example Cloudflare) process technical data needed to deliver pages and protect against abuse: IP address, date and time, requested URL, browser type and referrer. These logs are kept for a short period by the provider. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Advertising (Google AdSense)

The site is funded by ads served by Google AdSense, once the publisher account is approved and enabled. When ads are on:

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message (a Google-certified consent management platform) before personalised ads or advertising cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time through the privacy/cookie link shown by that message. If you refuse, Google may still show non-personalised ads, which use cookies only for frequency capping, fraud prevention and aggregated reporting. The legal basis for personalised advertising is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

6. Email

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply and keep it no longer than needed for that conversation, unless the law requires otherwise.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Write to contact@lasstegnas.com. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority; in Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw.

8. Children

The site is not directed at children under 16 and does not knowingly collect their personal data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy, for example when a new tool or service is added. The date at the top shows the latest version.
