How to use it
Choose a category, enter a value and pick the units. The result updates as you type, and the swap button reverses the direction. Open “every unit” to see the value in all units of the category at once.
Ratio units are converted through one base unit (metre, kilogram, litre, metre per second, square metre, second, byte), and the factor is printed under the result. Length uses the international inch (25.4 mm) and mile (1,609.344 m); mass uses the avoirdupois pound (0.45359237 kg). US and UK gallons, pints and fluid ounces are different sizes and are listed separately. Data size offers decimal units (1 kB = 1,000 bytes) and binary units (1 KiB = 1,024 bytes).
Temperature is not a ratio, so it goes through Celsius: °F = °C × 9/5 + 32 and K = °C + 273.15. 212 °F is therefore 100 °C.
