How to use it
- Type your letters in the first box. Upper or lower case and spaces don’t matter. Add
?for each blank tile. - Narrow the list with minimum/maximum length, or open More filters for starts with, ends with, contains, must-include and exclude.
- Use a pattern when you know positions:
s?l?ntfinds six-letter words with s, l, n and t in those places. A pattern fixes the word length, so the length boxes are switched off while it is filled in. - Sort and copy: longest first, A–Z or highest score, grouped by length. Results update as you type and the link in the address bar can be shared.
How a match is decided
Each dictionary word is checked against your letter counts. With the rack listen a word may use one l, i, s, t, e and n, so silent, enlist, tinsel and inlets match, but lisle fails because it needs two l’s. Missing letters are filled by blanks if you added any; those letters are underlined and score 0. Scores are plain tile values without board bonuses.
The default dictionary is ENABLE, a public-domain word-game list that includes two-letter words. The extended list is larger but contains rarer words. Neither is an official tournament lexicon.
